What is Te Oranga Reo
Te Oranga Reo is our Papakura High School bi-lingual unit. Students in Te Oranga Reo combine integrated instruction in Te Reo, Tikanga-a-Iwi, Hangarau and Te Ao Haka alongside mainstream (auraki) subjects. The focus is on empowering students to stand in their mana as young Rangatira Māori.
Benefits of the Programme
Te Oranga Reo provides a bi-lingual pathway for students who may come from a bi-lingual or immersion background in primary school, or a student who is passionate about learning Te Reo me ona Tikanga Māori.
How can I Join?
Entry is by application only and requires an interview with the Head of Te Oranga Reo. A commitment from the tauira and whānau is required to support the kaupapa.
